Who is this programme for?
This programme would benefit anyone working with data on a daily basis – giving learners the foundational skills to collect, organise and study data to drive improvements in their business.
The skills learnt can be implemented across any industry supporting the understanding of events that have passed and supporting future predictions about what might happen according to the data.

What you will learn
Over 18 days of training, our programme will give you critical skills including statistical and analytical use of Excel, programming in Python and SQL, data visualisation with Tableau and Power BI as well as data modelling and storytelling. You will be able to blend data from multiple sources and focus on effectively communicating your findings through presentation and reporting skills.
Our programme also teaches you the ethics in relation to data protection and GDPR requirements. All of this learning culminates in two scenario demonstrations led by an independent assessor. Learners apply their learning throughout the programme, resulting in immediate value for your organisation.
Upon completion of the programme, learners receive a Level 3 Data Technician qualification, and gain entry to the RITTech register of IT professionals, confirming their level of competence.
Data Analyst
Who is this programme for?
This programme would benefit anyone who already has strong data skills, looking to learn advanced techniques to progress their career. The skills learnt can be implemented to tackle the challenges facing the NHS, support the understanding of events that have passed and future predictions about what might happen according to the data.
Typical job titles for our Data Analyst learners include; Workforce Information Assistant, Clinical Research, Data Analyst, Data Manager, Planning Analyst, Data Scientist, Financial Analyst, Data Modeller, Data Architect, MI Manager, MI Operator, Quality Improvement Information Analyst, Data Engineer and Lead Pharmacy Technician.
What you will learn
Over 30 days of training, our programme will give learners advanced data skills including statistical programming in Python and SQL, modelling with R, data visualisation with Tableau and Power BI and data modelling/storytelling. This programme also includes an optional module covering Mongo DB. The core skills delivered focus on the principles of data, data architecture, cloud technologies, data modelling, machine learning, data manipulation and customer presentation.
Learners will be assessed through an employer-led project and a BCS interview covering this topic, and their summative portfolio. Our learner onboarding process all supports the education of line managers to drive effective ways of utilising the skills learnt in day-to-day business operations.
Upon completion of the programme, learners receive a Level 4 Data Analyst qualification, and gain entry to the RITTech register of IT professionals, confirming their level of competence.
The typical programme duration is 15-18 months, consisting of trainer-led technical workshops, monthly coaching sessions and online learning through our remote learning delivery platform.
