On Wednesday May 25th we held our first ever Skills Bootcamp Awards, sponsored by BCS and CompTIA.
Held at the British Computing Society (BCS) office, it was fantastic to bring together our learners from different cohorts, as well as our trainers, career support team and everyone who has helped to bring Skills Bootcamps to life.
The event was a celebration of the journey our learners have been on, with a select few being recognised for their stand-out achievements by their peers.
Award Winners
After spending 21 years delivering self-funded Bootcamps, it was great to be able to recognise those we’ve trained through government-funded Skills Bootcamps in the last 9 months.
Hosted by our Founder and CEO Simon Perriton, our awards recognised a number of great successes, including; our highest achiever in the CompTIA A+ exam, as part of our IT Technician Skills Bootcamp. We also recognised the strongest portfolio across all cohorts of our Software Development Skills Bootcamp.
In addition, we asked our learners to nominate the most inspirational peers they worked with on their bootcamp. What we found was a huge number of nominations from some stand out team players across different cohorts, people who really worked hard to support those around them, while still embodying excellence in their own work.
Our winners were;
Best CompTIA A+ Score
Herisson Schimidt
Best Portfolio
Harley Harris
Most Inspirational People
Tahmina Akhtar
Antonio Tasev
Nasra Khalif
After 9 months of delivering Skills Bootcamps, it was great to spend time with our learners and find out how their career journeys are going, with learners from all cohorts sharing their tips and experiences. A huge congratulations to all of our winners.
A big thankyou to Olivia from BCS, who joined us to offer all of our learners a free year of membership, as well as speak about the great work BCS are doing to make sure that everyone’s experience with technology is positive.
