Career Support Consultant – Skills Bootcamps

Position Overview    

The role is to manage and support a caseload of our Skills Bootcamps candidates as they progress through their 12 week program and transition into employment.

You will deliver group Soft Skills, Work Readiness and Employability Skills sessions as well as provide one-to-one coaching where relevant. Consistently mentoring your learners, ensuring they all have a fantastic experience, complete their Skills Bootcamp and go on to progress into a new position.

The role will involve teaching full days of delivery, with effective and impactful workshops. These are delivered to the highest possible standard.

Responsibilities  

In common with all staff:

Role Responsibilities:

  • Mentoring and coaching candidates through their Skills Bootcamp and as they transition into employment
  • Deliver Soft Skills and Employability Skills training sessions to motivate and develop the candidates through their course. Both group and one-to-one sessions
  • Gain an understanding of individual needs and barriers, evaluate the relevant steps to improve and provide the relevant support
  • Manage a caseload of candidates; building strong working relationships
  • Consistently achieving KPIs based around supporting candidates through to completion of their course and then into employment within the IT sector.
  • Supporting and motivating difficult or challenging candidates to overcome barriers and achieve objectives
  • Assisting candidates in the development of their CVs, interviews and job searching.
  • Providing candidates with constructive feedback to help in their on-going personal development
  • Take action from survey results and ongoing feedback to continually improve performance and sessions
  • Create action plans for candidates; providing follow up and monitoring their progress; working alongside and in collaboration with the technical trainers
  • Cross train across our 4 different pathways; Software Development, IT Technician, IT Solutions Technician and Data Technician.
  • Where needed you will also support our ASF learners with intervention calls
  • Integrate new starters into the team and assist with training

Salary: £28k- £32k
