An investment company has need for an IT Support Engineer Apprentice.
The apprentice will support the global IT Support team and all colleagues with 1st Line Technical issues. This is a great opportunity for a passionate individual interested in tech and looking to learn and develop IT skills.
Duties
- Assisting the Technical Service Owner function as part of the Global IT Application support services
- Contribute to an efficient and effective Support service, including adhering to Service Level Agreements, Key Performance Indicators and other measures that promote a valuable support service to the business
- Review tickets within Service Management, driving and managing service acceptance using established priorities
- Undertakes daily operational checks (Incident, requests & Problem) as defined and trained by the wider team
- Participate in projects as required
- Work with multiple teams including external vendors to drive continuous service improvement
- Assist with Service Transition for any project moving into IT Operations
- Participate & contribute to Service Reviews and Vendor Management
- Participate in regulatory audit activities
- Perform basic proactive tasks for capacity & demand management, disaster recovery processes with guidance & training
- Collaborate with support teams (within IT Operations, Development, Suppliers, Solution Groups) as required
- Identify and drive operational efficiency improvements
- Potential for travel and experience exhibitions
About you
To be an ICT Apprentice, you must be a tech enthusiast with 5 GCSEs (ideally A* – C, 4-9) including Maths and English.
This 16-month Apprenticeship has a salary of £20,000 per year and your training will include gaining internationally recognised Level 3 IT qualifications.
